What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at K Ave in Plano, TX on January 1st, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 10:45 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-150 operated by 42-year-old Miguel Vera was headed northbound K Ave turning onto Legacy Dr at a flashing yellow light. At the same time, a Volkswagen Passat operated by 59-year-old Telisa Dillard was headed southbound on a green light when the two vehicles collided at the intersection. Dillard was seriously injured in the crash. Vera was not injured and officers recommended and/or issued a DWI/Intoxication Assault charge.
