What Happened

Area authorities have information on a crash that injured at least one person at FM 1013 in Tyler County, TX on March 3rd, 2023. Police are saying it happened round 8:30 a.m. According to investigators, a logging truck operated by 72-year-old David Hatton is accused of crossing into an opposite direction travel lane while in the process of a turn. The vehicle was struck by an approaching pickup truck operated by 63-year-old Terry Blankenship as a result. Blankenship was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries the Hatton was cited for performing a turn when unsafe. Additional details were not available.
