What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at US 59 in Splendora, TX on August 11th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 6:15 p.m. Investigators say a Dodge Ram opened by an unnamed 46-year-old Houston man is alleged to have failed to yield right of way before colliding with a another vehicle also alleged to have possibly failed to yield. The driver of the second vehicle, 75-year-old Teresa Wheatley, suffered serious injuries while the Houston man was not injured. Additional information was not available.
