What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at State Hwy 66 in Garland, TX on August 25th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 6:52 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Impala operated by 54-year-old Thomas Ramirez was westbound on Hwy 66 before allegedly crossing a median into the eastbound lanes of Hwy 66. From there, the vehicle is said to have struck an eastbound Chevrolet Malibu, the impact pushing the Malibu into a Hyundai Santa Fe. Officials say the Malibu operator, a 24-year-old Royse City man, had suspected minor injuries. Police allege Ramirez had serious injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
