What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at I-45 in Navarro County, TX on March 8th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 8:12 p.m. Investigators are saying a Honda Prelude operated by 55-year-old Timothy Russell Casey was disabled in a lane of travel with no active head or taillights. A northbound Chevrolet Silverado operated by an unnamed 40-year-old male approached and collided with the Honda. Following this, an approaching tractor trailer also struck the Honda. Police allege that the Honda's dark color and low visibility in the area may have contributed to the collisions. Casey was hospitalized with injuries believed to be serious while the others involved were not injured. Additional information was not available.
