What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at Hillcroft Ave in Houston, TX on December 19th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 5:33 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado C1500 was headed northbound on Hillcroft. Traveling eastbound on Gulfton St was a Nissan Altima, officials say. Reports indicate the Silverado allegedly disregarded flashing red lights prior to colliding with the Nissan. The impact is said to have caused the Nissan to lose control and strike a nearby pole. The driver of the Nissan, a 51-year-old Houston man who was not publicly identified, had serious injuries, police say. The Silverado operator, a 39-year-old Houston man, had less serious injuries, according to reports. Reports also show a DWI charge was recommended and/or issued against the Silverado operator.
