What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured two teens at FM 917 in Johnson County, TX on December 27th, 2022. Police say it happened around 3:57 p.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by a 44-year-old Hurst man was turning left onto FM 917. As it did so, an approaching Infiniti occupied by four teenaged males was traveling westbound. The Infiniti, which is suspected to have been traveling above the posted speed limit, performed an evasive maneuver that saw it veer into a ditch and overturn. The crash seriously injured one of the teens, age 16, and left a second, also 16, with less serious injured. The drivers of both vehicles were reportedly uninjured.
