What Happened

Two women were seriously injured following a crash at Research Blvd in Austin, TX on December 31st, 2022. Police are searching for 27-year-old Luis Angel Castilleja in connection with the crash. They say a vehicle operated by Castilleja was allegedly traveling at high speeds before crashing into a concrete barrier. A passenger in the vehicle was ejected from the car on impact, suffering serious injuries. The other was also seriously injured. Castilleja is alleged to have fled the scene after the crash, failing to render aid to his passengers. Once located, officers say Castilleja faces charges that include Aggravated Assault and Accident Causing Serious Bodily Injury.
