What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured two women at State Hwy 321 in Dayton, TX on January 19th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 10:11 p.m. According to investigators, a Honda Accord operated by 22-year-old Dayton woman was headed southbound as a Nissan Versa ahead began slowing to turn left. Police say the Honda collided with the rear of the Nissan as it slowed, leaving both occupants of the Nissan, who were not identified, with serious injuries. The Dayton woman had less serious injuries, according to police, and was cited for Failure to Control Speed.
