What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed one person at I-10 in Houston, TX on November 5th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 1:50 a.m. According to investigators, a Jeep Cherokee is alleged to have been traveling at a high rate of speed as it approached a previous crash. Officials say officers had arrived at the scene and were setting up barriers around the area as the Jeep allegedly attempted to travel around the patrol units. Officials say the vehicle struck multiple people at the scene before overturning. The driver, who was not publicly identified, allegedly fled the scene. Two women involved suffered fatal injuries.
