What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured three people at State Hwy 170 in Westlake, TX on October 31st, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 12:13 a.m. According to investigators, a Lincoln SUV operated by 34-year-old Tyson Daw was southbound before colliding with a commercial truck. It was alleged by authorities the Lincoln may have run a red light prior to the collision, which left Daw seriously injured. Reports say the crash caused the truck to veer from the road into a road sign and electrical posts. That driver, age 46, had minor injuries, police say, as did a 21-year-old passenger in the Lincoln.
