What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 87 in Eden, TX on October 6th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3:47 p.m. According to investigators, a commercial truck operated by a 29-year-old Odessa man was headed westbound on US 87 when it entered an eastbound lane to avoid colliding with another vehicle ahead. It then collided with a Dodge Dakota operated by 51-year-old Wanda Lynn Sperry. Sperry and and a 14-year-old passenger suffered serious injuries. The Odessa man was not injured and cited for Failure to Drive in Single Lane.
