Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist at State Hwy 174 in Hill County, TX on November 14th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 1 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford Edge was westbound on Hwy 174. Traveling eastbound, reports say, was a motorcycle operated by 79-year-old William Carlyle. Reports allege the operator of the Ford may have been under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol before the vehicle veered onto the wrong side of the road, colliding with the motorcycle. Reports say Carlyle later died from his injuries in the crash while the Ford operator was uninjured.
