What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a woman at Burnet St and Cherry St in San Antonio, TX on November 9th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 2:20 a.m. According to investigators, a motorcycle operated by a 29-year-old San Antonio man was eastbound on Burnet St, approaching railroad tracks. Officials say the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed as it traveled over the railroad tracks. The vehicle is said to have gone airborne, ejecting a 33-year-old woman riding as a passenger from the vehicle. Reports say the woman, who was not publicly identified, was seriously injured. The San Antonio man was uninjured, police allege. Sources indicate an Intoxication Assault charge was recommended and/or issued against the man.
