What Happened

Wichita Falls Police are investigating a crash that injured a woman at Seymour Hwy in Wichita Falls, TX on March 16th, 2023. Police say the incident happened when a westbound truck collided with a car turning left onto Loop 11. Officials say witnesses at the scene allege that the truck ran a red light while traveling at a high rate of speed prior to the collision. A 68-year-old woman, who was not named, was in the passenger car that was struck. She was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries. The other driver, identified as 37-year-old Anastacio Mendoza, was also hospitalized before later being arrested on an Intoxication Assault charge. Additional information was not available.
