What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a woman at State Hwy 16 in Leon Valley, TX on August 27th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 2:30 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado was headed southbound on Bandera, nearing the Wurzbach intersection. The vehicle is alleged to have entered into a turn lane before running a red turn arrow, proceeding into the path of an approaching Honda Accord. Officials say the two vehicles collided, leaving a 58-year-old passenger in the Honda, with serious injuries. Sources indicate an Intoxication Assault charge was recommended and/or issued against the operator of the Silverado.
