What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that injured a person at I-10 in Sealy, TX on June 1st, 2021. Police say it happened around 7:36 p.m. A tractor-trailer operated by a 41-year-old San Antonio man reportedly failed to control its speed as traffic ahead began to slow. The truck collided with the rear of a Chevrolet Silverado operated by 29-year-old Yvonne Martinez Rodriguez. Both she and her 41-year-old passenger were both seriously injured. The driver of the truck was not injured and charged with Failure to Control Speed.
