What Happened

Utah Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a child at I-215 in Midvale, UT on September 8th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 4:30 p.m. According to investigators, a car hauler failed to control its speed before colliding with a group of stopped vehicles. A child in one of the vehicles suffered fatal injuries at the scene. The child's mother and two siblings were hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.
