What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed three people at West Colonial Trail in Nottoway County, VA on September 10th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 9:01 p.m. According to authorities a Honda Accord headed southbound on Cellar Creek Rd failed to stop at a posted stop sign and pulled into the path of a westbound tractor-trailer at the intersection with West Colonial Trail. 61-year-old Honda driver, Francisco Joseph Allen, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Also killed was 19-year-old passenger, Jacinta Maria Rosa Sanchez and a rear seat passenger, 41-year-old Robert Eugene Pennington. The tractor-trailer driver was not injured. Additional information was not immediately available.
