What Happened

Virginia State Police are investigating an accident that injured a pedestrian on Route 58A in Lee County, VA on January 7th, 2019. Police say the pedestrian was reportedly crouched in a travel lane when the box truck driver swerved to avoid hitting them. The front fender of the box truck knocked the pedestrian into a shoulder. They were flown to a Holston Valley Medical Center with serious injuries. The driver of the box truck was not injured.
