What Happened

Washington State Patrol responded to the scene of an accident that killed one person in Otis Orchards, WA on July 11th, 2018. 16-year-old Yuliya N. Chapurina was killed when a vehicle she was driving allegedly failed to yield to and was struck by a dump truck driven by 27-year-old Mason D Baker. EMS officials pronounced Chapurina dead at the scene. A passenger in the vehicle, 19-year-old Irina M Chapurina was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. Baker was not injured.
