What Happened

West Virginia State Police are investigating a crash that killed two people at US Route 19 in Nicholas County, WV on March 16th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 3 p.m. Officers allege that a motorcycle traveling a high rate of speed was clocked by police, who attempted to initiate a traffic stop. While being pursued, the motorcycle turned onto Route 19 and collided with a log truck. The impact caused both occupants to be ejected from the vehicle, causing both to suffer fatal injures.
