What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a woman at US 35 in Putnam County, WV on January 9th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 6 p.m. and involved a passenger vehicle colliding with a tract0r-trailer under unclear circumstances. One occupant of the car, identified s80-year-old suffered fatal injuries. A second occupant, identified as 21-year-old Ethan J Hamm, was hospitalized in an intensive care unit. The driver of the truck was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Police had no additional information to share.
