What Happened

Wisconsin State Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at US Hwy 2 and 41st Ave in Superior, WI on April 30th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 1:35 p.m. According to investigators, a Mitsubishi Outlander was traveling eastbound on US Hwy 2 before colliding with the rear of a semi-truck under unclear circumstances.  It then veered from the road, striking a light pole before coming to rest in a front yard. The crash left Myers with fatal injuries. The truck driver, 21-year-old Joseph Hunter Matechuk, was not injured. Additional information was not immediately available.
