What Happened

Mosinee Police Department officials have identified the person killed in a crash at I-39 near Mosinee, WI on November 29th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 1:20 a.m. According to investigators, a semi-truck headed northbound on I-39 was struck un the rear by a Ford Escape while entering an on-ramp. The collision set the Ford across southbound lanes of I-39 into a group of trees before it caught fire. The driver, identified as 62-year-old Victoria Kroening, died at the scene. Officials had no additional information to share.
