What Happened

Tucson Police are investigating a crash that killed a person at Valencia Rd and Palo Verde Rd in Tucson, AZ on January 13th, 2022. Police say the incident happened when an eastbound passenger vehicle attempting to turn onto northbound Palo Verde Rd was struck by a semi-truck. The truck is said to have immediately come to a stop at the scene while the occupant of the passenger car, 46-year-old Clay Gerald Turner, died at the scene. The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries. Investigators believe the passenger vehicle may have failed to yield to the truck to cause the crash.
