What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed a driver at 35th Ave and Lower Buckeye Rd in Phoenix, AZ on August 9th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 4:40 p.m. A pickup truck, minivan and FedEx semi-truck collided under unclear circumstances. One of the vehicles ended up underneath the semi-truck and caught fire. The driver of the minivan died at the scene. The drivers of the pickup and semi-truck were hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. Additional information was not available.
