What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a man at 196th Ave in Buckeye, AZ on July 26th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 9:30 in the Fry's grocery store parking lot. According to investigators, 72-year-old James Runge was struck by a semi-truck there under unclear circumstances. Following the collision, police say Runge was taken to an area hospital with injuries he later died from.
