What Happened

Arizona Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed as many as six people at I-10 near Tonopah, AZ on March 1st, 2025. Police say the incident happened around 1 p.m. According to investigators, several tractor-trailer and several passenger cars were involved in a crash that left several  people involved, including Melinda Kobold, fatally injured. Officials say a total of 13 people were hospitalized with various injuries. Additional information was not available.
