What Happened

Arizona Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash at Loop 202 in Tempe, AZ on April 27th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 3 a.m. According to investigators, a dump truck was exiting a construction site when it allegedly traveled into the path of an approaching SUV. The SUV collided with the rear of the truck, leaving the SUV operator, who was not publicly identified, with fatal injuries. The drums truck operator was arrested on suspicion of impairment.
