What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed one person involved at Hwy 64 in Conway, AR on October 8th, 2023. Police say it happened around 12:41 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado operated by 42-year-old Christopher Swillie was eastbound before allegedly striking the rear of a Honda Civic operated by 67-year-old Tamara Franklin. The impact is said to have caused 46-year-old Silverado passenger, Aretha Swillie, to be ejected from the vehicle, leaving her with fatal injuries. The Honda was sent across a center line before striking a Kia Optima operated by 34-year-old Christopher Waddle. Both Waddle and a passenger, 37-year-old Shirley Rensel, were injured, as were Swillie and Franklin. Police did not disclose additional information.
