What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed two people at US Hwy 65 in Jefferson County, AR on October 4th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 10:52 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer was traveling southbound on Hwy 65 while a Toyota RAV4 was turning left onto Hwy 65. As it did so, the Toyota entered into the path of the truck, the two colliding. The truck veered into northbound lanes in the collision, crashing head-on into a northbound Dodge Ram operated by 81-year-old Clarence Wells. Wells and a passenger, 79-year-old Wanda Wells, were both suffered injuries in the crash the died from. Information about the condition of the other drivers was not provided.
