State Police are investigating a crash that killed one person at County Rd 48 in Prescott, AR on July 7th, 2023. Police believe the incident happened around 4:35 a.m. Investigators are saying a Dodge Ram had been headed southbound on Hwy 67 before it turning onto County Rd 48. From there, they believe the vehicle was attempting to travel across railroad tracks before it was struck by an approaching Union Pacific train. It was not stated if there were active railroad crossing arms at the time of the collision, which left the driver of the Dodge with fatal injuries. Police identified the driver as 26-year-old Cody B.
