What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed two people at US 67 in Pocahontas, AR on April 12th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 2:18 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford was headed northbound on US 67 when it allegedly crossed a center turn lane for unknown reasons and collided head-on with a semi-truck. Both the driver of the Ford, 75-year-old Janet Shaffner and her passenger, 73-year-old Eldon Shaffner, suffered fatal injuries in the collision. Additional information was not immediately available.
