What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed a woman at  US Hwy 65 in Jonesboro, AR on August 4th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 10:34 p.m. A Saturn Ion operated by 24-year-old Gregory Campbell was headed westbound on Hwy 138 when it failed to yield at a stop sign. It then collided with the right side of a southbound tractor-trailer. A passenger in the Ioan, 24-year-old Summer Thomas, suffered fatal injuries. Campbell and a passenger under the age of 18 were both hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. The driver of the tractor-trailer, 46-year-old Kerwin Stokes was also hospitalized for treatment.
