What Happened

State Police have information on a crash that killed four people at US Hwy 65 in Chicot County, AR on June 6th, 2022. Police say it happened around 2:45 p.m. According to their investigation, an 18-wheeler was headed southbound on Us Hwy 65 as a Ford was attempting to cross onto Hwy 65 from Hwy 35. Police say the Ford failed to yield to the 18-wheeler and both collided before veering from the road. 50-year-old Tommy Figures, 19-year-old Btayshawn Ranson, 73-year-old Geraldine Prewitt and 56-year-old Terry King all suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Ford driver, 47-year-old Susan Kennedy was among those that were injured. Also injured were passengers, 21-year-old Robert Bell, 18-year-old Zantress Willis and 25-year-old Cebra Jordan.
