What Happened

State Police are investigating a crash that killed a man at Etiwanda Ave in Jurupa Valley, CA on February 12th, 2023. Police say it happened around 8 a.m. and involved a pickup truck colliding with the rear of a parked semi-truck. The semi-truck was not occupied at the time of the crash, which caused the pickup truck to catch fire. The driver of the pickup truck, 20-year-old Aaron Ruiz, was unable to escape the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries at the scene. Authorities had no additional information to share.
