What Happened

California Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian at Hwy 152 in Los Banos, CA on July 9th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 2:22 p.m. An International truck towing two flatbed trailers operated by 28-year-old Fidel Alvarez collided with a pedestrian that reportedly ran into the roadway. The pedestrian, identified as 40-year-old Brandi Silva, suffered fatal injuries. Alvarez was not injured and police do not suspect drugs and alcohol did not appear to be factors in the crash.
