California Highway Patrol officials are investigating a collision that killed a child at I-80 and Richards Blvd in Davis, CA on December 2nd, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 4:40 a.m. A Toyota Avalon was said to have struck a center divider before the impact pushed it back into the roadway. Investigators say a box truck and Toyota Tacoma were also involved in the crash. The driver of the Avalon, 42-year-old Robert Williams, was hospitalized along with 50-year-old passenger, Linda Jones. A 1-year-old in the vehicle was ejected during the crash and suffered fatal injuries. The driver of the Tacoma suffered minor injuries while the box truck driver was not injured.
