California Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at I-15 in Fallbrook, CA on August 3rd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 6:20 p.m. According to authorities, a Volkswagen Golf operated by an unidentified woman is said to have been involved in a rear end collision with an 18-wheeler. Police were not yet able to say how the collision occurred but did say the Volkswagen ended up lodged under the trailer of the truck and the driver required emergency extrication. Once free, she was taken to an area hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
