California Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that injured five people at Hwy 99 and Carpenter Rd in Sacramento, CA on July 16th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 5:14 a.m. According to investigators, a box truck was headed southbound on Hwy 99 before it was was rear-ended by a semi-truck. The impact is said to have caused the box truck to overturn, blocking lanes of travel. This led to a Buick sedan colliding with a overturned truck.
