California Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a man at I-5 near Hwy 140 in Merced County, CA on February 24th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 6:30 a.m. A Volkswagen Passat operated by 23-year-old Jose Robledo was headed northbound on I-5 when it reportedly attempted a lane change and was slowing due to a vehicle ahead. The Volkswagen then allegedly lost control and veered into a right shoulder, colliding with a parked tractor-trailer. Robledo suffered fatal injuries at the scene.
