What Happened

California Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a woman at I-805 in San Diego, CA on May 26th, 2023. Police are saying it happened around 1 p.m. According to investigators, a flatbed truck carrying construction equipment was involved in a crash that saw the vehicle overturn. In the process, its cargo, including cement-filled bags, fell from the overpass. The bags are said to have fallen down to the roadway below, landing through the windshield of an SUV and killing a woman in a passenger seat.
