What Happened

California Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a man at Hwy 99 near Olive Dr in Bakersfield, CA on August 5th, 2022. Police say the incident involved a passenger vehicle headed northbound Hwy 99 veering from the road for unknown reasons. It then veered through a fence before colliding with the rear of a tractor-trailer parked in a westbound shoulder.
