California Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at I-5 and Avenue Palizado in San Clement, CA on July 22nd, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 9:30 a.m. According to investigators, a pair of Caltrans workers were in a shoulder retrieving debris when a tow truck veered from the roadway for unclear reasons. The vehicle is said to have struck the Caltrans vehicle and one of the workers, identified as 55-year-old Alexander Rodish. Police say Rodish was fully injured while the tow truck operator and other Caltrans worker had alleged non-life-threatening injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
