California Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at Stuhr Rd near Newman, CA on July 15th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 10:24 a.m. According to investigators, a Toyota headed southbound on Stuhr Rd is said to have entered into the path of a tractor-trailer headed eastbound. The vehicles collided and the impact caused the Toyota to veer from the road and overturn. A passenger in the Toyota suffered fatal injuries while the driver, 22-year-old Rachel Norton, was hospitalized with serious injuries. The driver of the tractor-trailer, identified as 58-year-old Daniel Forte, was not injured. Additional information was not immediately available.
