What Happened

California Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed two people at Hwy 20 in Sutter County, CA on July 6th, 2021. Police say the incident happened just after 2:30 p.m. A GMC 3500 headed eastbound collided with the rear of a Nissan Titan, operated by 19-year-old Sukhjot Singh Dhillon. The Nissan lost control and veered into a westbound lane, striking a Kenworth 18-wheeler before catching fire. Both Dhillon and a passenger, 63-year-old Ranjit Singh Dhillon, suffered fatal injuries.
