What Happened

California Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed two people at Hwy 33 near Marshall Rd in Merced County, CA on January 12th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8 a.m. A motorcycle occupied by an unidentified man and woman was headed southbound when it collided with the rear of a GMC truck. Both occupants were ejected from the vehicle before an approaching tractor-trailer collided with the bike. Investigators believe it may have also struck the man and woman, who died at the scene. Additional information was not immediately available.
