California Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed two people at I-40 in Barstow, CA on December 22nd, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 1 a.m. A semi-truck reportedly drifted left over a dirt median while headed westbound on I-40. It then collided with a pickup truck before crashing into a guardrail and overturning. The impact caused the pickup truck to catch fire and the driver and passenger died at the scene.
