What Happened

California Highway Patrol officials are investigating a crash that killed a woman at Hwy 101 near Alvarado St in Los Angeles, CA in August 8th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 3:45 a.m. According to investigators, a vehicle was allegedly experiencing mechanical trouble before it pulled to the side of the road. The driver, an unidentified woman, is said to have exited the vehicle and was in or near travel lanes before she was struck an approaching semi-truck. The woman suffered fatal injuries in the collision. Police did not have additional information to share.
